Gold ornaments worth about Rs. 2.5 lakh and Rs. 47,000 cash recovered

Mysuru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) Police, on Aug. 18, have arrested two house burglars near Sri Nagaraja Theatre in Mandi Mohalla here and have recovered gold ornaments weighing 69 grams (worth about Rs. 2.5 lakh) and Rs. 47,000 cash from them.

The accused have been identified as Sadiq and Almas Pasha, both residents of Rehamaniyanagar in Ramnagar district.

During interrogation, the accused are said to have confessed of breaking into a locked house in N.R. Police limits and making away with gold ornaments and cash from the house.

Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered the cash and gold ornaments from them.

DCP Dr. Vikram V. Amathe supervised CCB ACP C. Gopal, who led CCB Inspector R. Jagadeesh, SI Jayasheelan, ASI K. Vijay and staff in nabbing operation.
