Gold ornaments worth Rs. 2 lakh stolen

Mysore/Mysuru: Burglars have decamped with god jewellery worth about Rs. 2 lakh from a house in city.

The burglary took place at the house of Krishna, near Bhu thale Grounds on Kanakagiri Main Road at Vidyaranyapuram here.

Krishna and his wife had gone to attend a function out of city yesterday and returned at 8.30 am today only to find the front door of the house forcibly opened.

On entering the house and inspecting the belongings, Krishna found gold ornaments kept in the almirah stolen and immediately informed the jurisdictional Police.

Vidyaranyapuram Inspector Yogananjappa and staff, visited the spot, followed by City Fingerprint Unit and the Dog Squad.

DCP (Crime and Traffic) K.S. Sundar Raj and KR Sub-Division ACP Ramesh inspected the burglary scene.Vidyaranyapuram Police, who have registered a case, are collecting footages of  CCTV cameras installed in surroundings to trace and arrest.
