House burgled at Aravindanagar

Valuables worth Rs. 1.87 lakh stolen

Mysuru/Mysore: Burglars who gained entry into a house at Aravindanagar, have decamped with gold and silver ornaments worth Rs. 1.87 lakh from the house.

The burglary took place at the house of one C. Jagannath at Aravindanagar 5th Main. Jagannath, on Jan. 29, had been to Davangere to attend the marriage of a relative and on Jan. 31, he received a call from his neighbour Devaraj, who told him that the door of his (Jagannath) house was found forcibly opened.

When Jagannath came to city at 5 pm and inspected his house, he found one 10 grams gold chain, two gold finger rings, gold beads, silver anklets and other valuables worth Rs.1.87 lakh stolen.

Ashokapuram Police, who rushed to the house on receiving information, conducted mahazar and registered a case. 

Dog Squad and fingerprint unit also inspected the spot.
