House burgled at Vijayanagar

Mysore/Mysuru: Burglars, who gained entry into a house by breaking open the lock of the door, have decamped with cash and gold ornaments from the house.

The burglary took place at the house of Raviprakash in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage. Raviprakash, on Dec. 25, had locked his house and had gone to Mantralaya. When he returned on Sunday afternoon, he found the lock of the front door broken and on entering the house and inspecting the rooms, he found 150 gram gold ornaments worth Rs. 4.5 lakh and Rs. 20,000 cash kept in the almirah stolen and immediately lodged a complaint. Vijayanagar Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
