House burgled: Cash, gold jewellery worth lakhs of rupees stolen

Mysuru: House burglars, who broke into a house in Srirampura 2nd Stage, have decamped with cash and gold jewellery worth lakhs of rupees. The incident came to light when the owner, who had gone out after locking the house on Saturday, returned on Monday.

The burglary took place in the house of one Sahaja on the 5th Cross in Srirampura 2nd Stage here.

The burglars, who gained entry into the house, have made away with Rs. 20,000 cash, two gold necklace weighing 30 grams each, three pairs of gold hangings weighing 20 grams, four finger rings weighing 25 grams and a gold chain weighing 20 grams and other valuables worth about Rs. 3 lakh, kept in the almirah.

A case has been registered at Kuvempunagar Police Station in this regard.
