House burgled in city

Mysuru: Even as the City Police are busy observing Crime Prevention Month, burglars have struck the city, decamping with several articles from a house in broad daylight in Jayalakshmipuram yesterday.

Kamath, a resident of Jayalaksmipuram Fifth Main, had gone out for lunch along with his family at about 1 pm, when burglars who managed to enter the house by forcing open the rear door, made good with 40 Euro currency notes, an iPod and an high-end cell phone, it is learnt.

The burglary came to light when Kamath retuned home at about 4 pm.

Dog Squad and Fingerprint Experts were pressed into service for clues.

Jayalakshmipuram Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
