House burgled: Gold jewels worth Rs. 4 lakh, Rs. 25,000 cash looted

Mandya: House burglars, who struck a house at T.B. Layout in Nagamangala taluk last night, have decamped with gold ornaments worth about Rs. 4 lakh and Rs. 25.000 cash from the house.

The burglary took place at the house of Prabhakar, a native of Sathanur near Mandya, who had taken the house on Kote Betta road, T.B. Layout, Nagamangala taluk in Mandya district on rent as he was working as a Principal at a nearby College. Prabhakar had gone to his native place when the burglary took place.

Nagamangala Police, who visited the spot, pressed the dog squad and fingerprint experts into service and have registered a case in the regard.
