House burgled in city

Mysore/Mysuru: Miscreants, who gained entry into a house, have decamped with gold, silver and cash from the house.

The burglary took place at the house of Mahadevaswamy and Suguna couple at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Nagar in broad daylight yesterday.

Yesterday at about 12.30 pm, the couple left for T. Narasipur and the burglary came to light when they returned at 7.15 pm.

The couple found the door forcibly opened and on inspecting the house they found 22 grams gems studded necklace, 15 grams pearl chain, two gold finger rings, all weighing a total of 45 grams, silver articles and Rs. 2,000 cash kept in the almirah stolen. A CCTV Camera installed in the opposite house has captured the burglars entering the house through the gate.

Alanahalli Inspector G.N. Srikanth and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, summoned dog squad and fingerprint unit, besides  registering a case.
