House burgled in Jayalakshmipuram

Mysore/Mysuru: Burglars, who gained entry into a house by breaking open the rear door of the house, have decamped with gold and silver jewellery and cash from the house.

The burglary took place at the house of 63-year-old H.R. Purushotham, behind Chinmaya School at Jayalakshmipuram.

On Feb. 26 at about 9 am, Purushotham, along with his family members, had gone to attend the Satsang programme, which was held at Basava Bhavan in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage. When the family returned at about 3.40 pm, they found the front door locked from inside and went they went behind the house, they found the rear door broken.

On inspecting the house, they found a 10 gram gold finger ring, 60 grams silver anklet and Rs. 1 lakh cash kept in the wardrobe of the house missing.

A case has been registered at Jayalakshmipuram Police Station.
