House burgled in Shakthinagar

Mysuru:  Even as the City Police have intensified night beats following a spate of burglaries and thefts, burglars have decamped with cash, sarees and gold jewellery totally worth Rs.97,000 after finding entry into a house in Shakthinagar.
Shobhavathi,  a resident of 2nd Cross, Shakthinagar, left for Bengaluru on the evening of Nov.15 after locking her house.

A neighbour, who noticed the front door of Shobhavathi’s house open on the evening of Nov.18, informed her, following which Shobhavathi returned on the morning of Nov.19 and lodged a complaint with the jurisdictional Udayagiri Police.

The burglars are said to have  forced their entry by breaking open the front door of the house and made good with cash, sarees and gold jewellery totally with Rs.97,000.

Udayagiri Police have registered a case in this regard.
