May 8, 2025

Mysuru: Burglars, who gained entry into a house in Vidyaranyapuram 4th Main, 26th Cross, by breaking open the glass pane of the window and then opening the door, have decamped with gold jewellery from the house.

The burglary took place at the house of Veena, who had gone to a wedding after locking the house on Saturday morning. The burglary came to light when she returned on Wednesday.

Police said that the burglars, who had noticed the locked gate, also observed newspapers lying near the gate and were confirmed that there was nobody in the house. They then committed the burglary.

Vidyaranyapuram Police, who have registered a case, have urged the residents to inform them if they are going out of station for more than one day so that they could keep a watch on the house and prevent burglaries from taking place.
