Mysuru: An incident of miscreants breaking into a house and making away with silver articles and cash has been reported from Hootagalli in city recently. The incident occurred at a house in KHB Colony belonging to N.S. Sunil, a  Bank employee.

According to Police, the incident occurred on May 21 when Sunil, who works in Madikeri, had been to their native village Chilkunda with his mother. His neighbours informed about his house door kept open.

Sunil, who rushed back to his house, found the door was forcibly opened and on entering inside he also found that the almirah and wardrobe also opened with clothes and other items ransacked with Rs. 65,000 worth silver articles and Rs. 15,000 cash missing.

He immediately informed Vijayanagar Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, besides registering a case and taking up investigation.
