Mysuru: In separate incidents, a housewife and an elderly man reportedly committed suicide in city.
In the first incident, a 30-year-old housewife committed suicide by hanging self at her house in Kuvempunagar here yesterday.
The deceased is Archana, wife of Mahesh and residing at a house near Jayamma Govindegowda Choultry in Kuvempunagar.
It is learnt that, on Mar. 20, Archana had not prepared breakfast, which had led to a quarrel. Mahesh, who left for Nanjangud returned in the night, but did not speak to Archana.
Depressed over this, she is said to have taken the extreme step yesterday morning.
Kuvempunagar Police, have registered a case in this regard.
In the second incident, 70-year-old Narasegowda, ended his life at his house in Belavadi. Narasegowda, had three sons, who were living separately and one among them had locked the portion of the house and was staying in a different locality.
It is learnt that Narasegowda had asked him to give the locked portion on rent to him as it would help him (Narasegowda). As his son refused, Narasegowda, broke open the lock and committed suicide there, according to the Police. Vijayanagar Police, have registered a case.
