October 17, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: In separate cases, a housewife and a labourer were found allegedly murdered in city.

While the housewife was found murdered at her house on the 1st Main Road in Kumbarakoppal, the labourer was found killed at the Children’s Ward in Cheluvamba Hospital in city.

In the first incident, the housewife, identified as Pushpa (43), was staying away from her husband following family feud and was residing on the 1st Main Road in Kumbarakoppal. She was a tailor by profession.

On Oct. 11 at about 12 noon, Pushpa had called her daughter K. Asha over the phone and later her phone was switched off. As Pushpa’s phone was switched off for a long time, her daughters Asha and Usha came to Pushpa’s house on Oct. 15 morning and found the front door locked but observed foul smell emanating from inside.

When Asha and Usha enquired about Pushpa with the neighbours, they told them that one Manjesh had come to the house on Oct. 12 night, during which a fight had taken place between them.

Asha and Usha then informed Metagalli Police and the lock was broke open in the presence of Police. On entering the house, they saw Pushpa lying in a semi naked state with a bed sheet covered on her body. Usha told the Police that Pushpa had relationship with Manjesh and alleged that Manjesh had killed her mother, according to the complaint.

Metagalli Police, who have registered a case, have launched a hunt to nab Manjesh, who                         is absconding.

In the second incident, Ramesh (35), a labourer, was found murdered at the Children’s Ward in Cheluvamba Hospital. More details of Ramesh is not available.

Devaraja Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
