A huge Gulmohar tree, near the University of Mysore VC’s residence, came crashing down at about 4.30 pm on JLB Road, damaging the compound and disrupting traffic between Ramaswamy Circle and MUDA Circle for about half-an-hour with Traffic Police diverting the vehicles. The Forest Department and the MCC staff rushed to the spot and cleared the fallen tree by 5.30 pm and made way for the smooth flow of traffic.
