Hundreds interact at Cancer Survivors Meet-2018

May 21, 2018

Mysuru: Narayana Multi-speciality Hospital had organised a Cancer Survivors Meet-2018 at MMC&RI Platinum Jubilee Hall at J.K. Grounds here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Cancer Survivor Ramesh Bilikere opined that cancer was just a challenge and not a ‘cancel’ of all hopes. He asked cancer victims to shun apprehension and develop a positive attitude with due support of family members.

He regretted that many people still viewed cancer as a terminal disease.

Speaking as the chief guest, journalist Amshi Prasannakumar recalled that senior journalist late Krishna Vattam was a cancer survivor who lived for 83 years.

Over 100 members of Cancer Support Group of the Hospital participated in an interaction to clear their doubts on cancer. Hospital Oncologists Dr. Naveen Anvekar, Dr. Vedapriya, Dr. Palaniappan, Dr. Mekala Shwethadri and others were present.
