Hundreds of students run for ‘Digital India’

Mysuru: As part of Jayciana-2017, about 800 students of Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) along with others took out a marathon with a theme ‘Run for Digital India’ in city this morning. The event was also meant for promoting the Kannada movie ‘Aranyani.’

The run was flagged off by lead pair of ‘Aranyani,’ Anjan and Teju Ponnappa, on SJCE campus.

The run was for 7 km for boys and 4 km for girls passing through Vishwamanava Double Road in Kuvempunagar and Fire Station in Saraswathipuram back to college for girls and an additional passage through T.K. Layout and Bogadi Road for boys.

The first three winners are: Boys — G.J. Chetan (Governmet FGC – Kuvempunagar), Prashanth and B. Prakash (both from Alva’s College, Moodabidri); Girls — B.K. Suprita, (Alva’s College, Moodabidri), Priyanka Gopi  (Amrita Vidyalayam) and M.S. Anita (Employed).

Suresh and Rohini of SJCE won under the special category for SJCE students.
