Hunsur: Even as the by-poll campaign is hotting up in Hunsur, Umesh, an independent candidate was admitted to a hospital in Mysuru after he suffered a mild heart attack while campaigning yesterday.

The 49-year-old Umesh was campaigning along with his supporters near KSRTC bus-stand in the town yesterday afternoon, when he collapsed reportedly due to a mild heart attack.

He was immediately rushed to Government General Hospital, from where he was shifted to Jayadeva Hospital in Mysuru, where his condition is said to be stable now.
