Hunsur town comes alive with Rural Games

‘Janapada Sambhrama,’ a two-day rural games and folk art programme, was organised under the joint aegis of Taluk Kannada Janapada Parishat, Kannada Sahitya Parishat and e-Channel, at Muneshwar Kaval Grounds in Hunsur recently. ZP Member Dr. Pushpa Amarnath inaugurated the event that included various rural games for students and public — Lagori for boys, Kere-Dada and Kuntebille for girl students, bow-and-arrow for tribal kids, sack race for men and breaking-the-pot for women. Taluk Kannada Janapada Parishat President Puttashetty, District President Kyathanahalli Prakash, Parishat Member H.S. Raghu, Vasanth Manjunath, T. Lokesh, Trinesh, Chilkunda Mahesh, Diwakar, Parishat President Naveen Rai, ‘Bahumukha’ Institute Head R. Anand and others were present. [Report by Raghu]
