Periyapatna:  “I have not yet decided on contesting the Lok Sabha (LS) polls from Mandya,” said former Prime Minister and JD(S) Supremo H.D. Deve Gowda.

Replying to a question by the media that there were reports that he would be contesting the LS polls from Mandya, after he landed at the temporary helipad at the stadium in Periyapatna this noon, Deve Gowda said “It is a rumour. I have not yet decided on contesting from Mandya as of now. I will decide only after seeing the political developments in the State.”

The former PM landed at Periyapatna helipad from where he proceeded to participate in the Ganaaradhana Mahotsav being held at Swathantra Saleelakya Viraktha Mutt and Kannada Mutt at Bettadapura in Periyapatna Taluk.

Periyapatna MLA K. Mahadev, Zilla Panchayat Members V. Rajendra and K.S. Manjunath and others were present at the helipad.
