Mysuru: Over 24 million babies are born every year in India. These babies face the highest risk of dying in their first month of life. Presently in India, for every 1,000 babies born, over 25 babies die.
“Saath-Saath-Perinatal Meets” is a one-day workshop planned by Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) and the Federation of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist Societies of India, to train the Obstetricians and Paediatricians in saving newborns with problems at birth and providing quality care for babies born with complicated pregnancies. This programme is conducted by IAP in all parts of country to reduce the new-born death rate.
The Indian Academy of Paediatrics – Mysore and Mysore Obstetricians Association, is conducting this workshop on May 12 at JSS Hospital in city from 9 am to 4 pm. Reputed Neonatologist and National convener for this programme Dr. Ranjan Kumar Pejaver will be the lead faculty. A group of senior Neonatologists and Obstetricians will conduct this event for over 100 doctors.
The inauguration is at 11 am at JSS Hospital Lecture Hall, ground floor near canteen.
