Bengaluru: The Government on Wednesday assigned posts to IAS Officers Dr. M.R. Ravi and B. Sharat, who were awaiting new posting following their transfer.
Dr. M.R. Ravi, who served as Chamarajanagar Deputy Commissioner for nearly 21 months, was transferred late last year without posting, ahead of the Legislative Council polls from Local Authorities Constituency held in December last, while B. Sharat was shunted out as Mysuru Deputy Commissioner just one month into his service in 2020.
Though Sharat was posted as MD of Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation (KSIC), he had not assumed charge and had waged a legal battle questioning his premature transfer as Mysuru DC.
Dr. Ravi has now been posted as Managing Director of Karnataka State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KSIIDC) at Bengaluru, while B. Sharat has been appointed as BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) Special Commissioner.
The two are among the five IAS Officers who got new postings on Wednesday.
