ID cards for all Government staff by Dec. 31

December 22, 2017

Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep suggested that all government officials should carry an identity card and asked his officers to implement the idea before Dec. 31.

Addressing a meeting of the Revenue Department officers here yesterday at the DC office, he said that there were lot of complaints from people as they found it difficult to identify the genuine employees due to the menace of the middlemen.

He said that just as it is done in the DC office, identity cards must be issued to all the staff of the Government in other offices too so that they can be identified.

“Even the contract and outsourced employees must be given ID cards mentioning their designation and all of them should sport it,” he said. He directed the officials concerned to complete the task by Dec.31.

Shramadaan: Randeep called upon all the officials in the government offices to involve themselves in Shramadaan to keep their premises clean. He said that even this effort must be completed by Dec.31 and asked them to take the support of the MCC in this regard. This practice should continue every month, he added.

Randeep told the officials that they should be prepared in all aspects and get administrative approvals for all the works undertaken.
