Mysore/Mysuru: A one-day workshop on “Nationalism and Youth” was organised at SBRR Mahajana Law College, Jayalakshmipuram, Mysuru, in collaboration with Love India Regional Institute, Bengaluru, recently.

On the occasion, a felicitation ceremony was held to honour a faculty member K.B. Roshni and a student Ramya of Mahajana Law College, who brought laurels to the institution by being recruited to the judicial services as Judges recently.

Resource person K.C. Singh, Founder-President of Love India Regional Institute, stated: “Nationalism is not merely about hoisting the flag; it is about pride in our nation, a sense of responsibility and an awareness of the cultural unity spread across the country. For overall transformation of nation, a spirit of nationalism in the heart of every Indian plays a crucial role.”

“India consists of about 37 to 40 percent youth population and as Swami Vivekananda believed, no one can think more profoundly about the future and holistic development of the nation than the youths. Therefore, the ideas of youths are extremely significant for the emergence of a great India, and their modern outlook will help India gain global recognition,” he added.

He also provided valuable insights into various phases of the Indian freedom struggle, the evolution of the national flag and the making of the Constitution.

Dr. T. Vijayalakshmi Muralidhar, Hon. Secretary of Mahajana Education Society, presided. K. Soumya, Principal of the College and Praveen Singh, Secretary of Love India Regional Institute, along with teaching and non-teaching staff and law students of the College  participated in the workshop.
