IIIT Professor’s call to research scholars to share knowledge

Mysuru: A one-day National Conference on Communication and Data Science (NCCDS – 2019) was  organised by the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering of GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru, on Apr.26 in association with IETE and publication partners BJIT- International Journal of Information Technology published by Springer Nature & International Journal of Computer Application (IJCA).

NCCDS – 2019 was inaugurated by chief guest Dr. Suryakanth V. Gangashetty, Professor, IIIT, Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, he apprised all the research scholars to share their knowledge and improve their skill in publishing research papers and work towards the growth of research.

He advised young research scholars and students to make use of this opportunity for improving their research knowledge. He also appreciated NCCDS-2019 for successfully pooling research papers for the conference from various States.

After the inaugural address, the chief guest spoke on the topic “Communication and Data Science.” Emphasising the many important facts on computer evolution, its functionality and its role in technology, he demonstrated many interesting facts on speech processing through demos and updated the students with latest development in speech processing.

Around 131 papers for the conference were received from Kashmir, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana and  from all parts of Karnataka.

The selected 90 papers were presented in eight different sessions based on the domain and domain experts from various engineering colleges were identified to chair the sessions.

The tracks identified were Data Science, Communication and Antenna systems, Computer networks / WSN / Network Security, Embedded systems and Robotics, VLSI System design & Embedded Systems, Signal / Image / video processing, Internet of Things.
