Mysore/Mysuru: Acting tough on those who had drawn power illegally, the staff and officials of Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) Limited Vigilance Squad, who conducted operations in their jurisdiction have registered a total of 31 cases besides imposing fines totalling Rs. 2.17 lakh against those who were causing loss to CESC.
The operations were carried out by the officials and staff of the CESC Vigilance Squad from Mysuru, Hassan, Mandya, Chamarajanagar and Kodagu districts, comprising eight teams, under the guidance of CESC Managing Director K.M. Munigopal Raju, Technical Director D.J. Diwakar, Chief General Manager (Technical) Sharanamma S. Jangin and CESC Vigilance Squad SP Savitha Hoogar.
The operations were conducted at various installations including Ekalavya Nagar, Bamboo Bazaar and Ittigegud areas within Mysuru district.
Executive Engineer (Vigilance) B.S. Chandrashekhar, CESC Vigilance Squad Police Inspector M. Jayaratna, Assistant Executive Engineer (Vigilance) Syeda Kousar Begum and others took part in the operation.
