Mysuru: Yelwal Police have arrested three persons on charges of transporting cattle to slaughter house and have rescued the cattle numbering 40 besides seizing the vehicle on Wednesday night.

The arrested persons have been identified as 27-year-old Syed Nishad alias Nayaz Pasha of Bharatnagar, 20-year-old Syed Parveez of Azeez Sait Nagar and Syed Amir Jan, all from city.

The accused, were caught while transporting cattle from K.R. Nagar in a Eicher goods vehicle to a slaughter house in Mysuru.

Yelwal SI M. Mahadev, who has registered a case in this regard, is investigating.
