Illumination-2017: Inter-college contest prize winners

Mysuru: Hindustan First Grade College (HFGC), JP Nagar, Mysuru, had organised Illumination-2017,   an inter-college competition for both teachers and students to mark Teacher’s Day at its premises in city recently.

The programme was inaugurated by Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) President C.K. Mahendra.

While students from over 15 colleges participated in Pencil Sketch, Elocution and Essay Writing, teachers participated in Solo Karaoke Singing, Treasure Hunt and Rangoli.

Dr. Yashwanth Dongre, former In-charge Vice-Chancellor and Director of Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Board, University of Mysore, who was the chief guest, distributed prizes to the winners and felicitated eminent teachers at the valedictory. Principal Dr. K. Sailatha and Vice-Principal H. Chethan  were present.

Results

Pencil Sketch: 1st prize – H.S. Amogh of Maharaja PU College, 2nd prize – B. Chandana of MMK & SDM College, 3rd prize – Revanth Kumar of Yuvaraja’s College, Consolation prize – Rubin Prajwal of St. Joseph’s College.

Elocution: 1st prize – B. Hemanth Kumar of Maharaja PU College, 2nd prize – Rakshit of Jnanodaya PU College and 3rd prize – Arindam Mandal of Jnanodaya PU College.

Essay: 1st prize – Deeksha Dinesh of  Yuvaraja’s College, 2nd prize – Amulya Hiremath of St. Joseph’s College and 3rd prize – K. Sumithra of Sri Cauvery College.

The prize winning teachers are: Solo Karaoke singing: 1st prize – C.A. Sachin of Gopalswamy College, 2nd prize – Poornima Lokesh of Delhi Public School.

Treasure Hunt: R. Ashwini of Delhi Public School. Rangoli: 1st prize – R. Ashwini of Delhi Public School, 2nd prize – P. Kavya of Delhi Public School.
