Mysore/Mysuru: Even as the fourth round of ‘Indradhanush-2.0- Immunisation drive’ is underway, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abhiram G. Sankar chaired a meeting of the Immunisation Task Force and the District Health Mission at his Office here yesterday.
Addressing the meeting, Reproductive & Child Health (RCH) Officer Dr. L. Ravi said that Mission Indradhanush-2.0 is being carried out in four rounds, with the first three rounds done in December, January and February. In the first round, the district recorded 101 percent target in respect of children and 100 percent in respect of pregnant women, while the second round saw 101.01 percent target in case of children and 103.20 percent in respect of pregnant women. The third round saw 100.87 percent target in case of children and 101 percent in respect of pregnant women.
The fourth round of the Immunisation drive is underway, with 68.63 percent of the targeted children and 74 percent of pregnant women covered so far, he said.
Dr. L. Ravi further said that School children aged between 5 and 16 years have been vaccinated for DPT and TD vaccinations, under the ‘School Vaccination drive.’
DTO Officer Dr. P. Ravi said that an action plan has been prepared to make Mysuru city Tuberculosis free and sought the cooperation of the public in making it a total success.
DHO Dr. Venkatesh, DDPI Dr. Panduranga and other officials were present.
