Mysore/Mysuru: ‘Impressions’ is a curated collection that captures the essence of perception-moments held in paint before they fade into memory. Each artist in this exhibition treats the canvas as a space for experimentation, where instinct, observation and exploration converge.
The result is a vibrant array of images that defy definition: visuals fractured by shifting light, figures glimpsed in motion, and forms that dissolve and reform with every glance.
The exhibition opens on Aug. 9 at 11 am at Heritage House, Indian Heritage Cities Network, Kantharaja Urs Road.

Rather than presenting fixed narratives or polished conclusions, ‘Impressions’ celebrates the unexpected and the immediate. It invites viewers to engage not as passive observers, but as active participants in the experience of seeing.
Participating artists: Balu Bhaskar, Gowthami Kalchar, Jyoti Machigad, Nutan Raj, Puja Sharma, M. Shivaraj, Surena Shetty and Suvarna Magaji.

The paintings on display are records of encounters — between artist and subject, colour and surface, intention and chance. Curated and coordinated by Galerie Crescent, the exhibition will remain open until Aug. 16 from 11 am to 6 pm.
