Pune-based band ‘Easy Wanderlings’ to perform at Wind Chimes
Mysuru: City-based Opal Art Management will be organising its inaugural musical event under the title ‘indieMagic’ featuring Pune-based band ‘Easy Wanderlings: A Decade of Wandering’ tomorrow (Sept. 12) between 5 pm and 9 pm at Wind Chimes in Nazarbad.
indieMagic, a Mysuru-based live music platform by Opal Art Management, aims to bring exceptional independent Indian artistes into heritage and culturally significant spaces across city.
Easy Wanderlings have been quietly building one of India’s distinctive independent music journeys. The Pune-based 8-piece band’s music draws from folk, indie, acoustic and alternative influences, creating a sound that is intimate, melodic and deeply rooted in storytelling.
Over the years, their music has taken them to some of the country’s most recognised stages and beyond including Lollapalooza India, NH7 Weekender and VH1 Supersonic, as well as an official showcasing at SXSW in 2020.
They also performed at COP26 in Glasgow, bringing their music to an international audience. Their Extended Play (EP) ‘Caught in a Parade’ was named Best Indian EP of 2022 by Rolling Stone India, while the band has also received recognition from the Indian Music Diaries Awards among others. Their music has found its way into popular culture too with their song Enemy featuring in the film Gehraiyaan.
Easy Wanderlings will also conduct a workshop-cum-lecture at Beer Tapper on Bogadi Road between 3 pm to 5 pm on Sept. 13.
The session will explore their music-making process and what it takes to build and sustain a successful independent touring band.
Tickets for the event at Wind Chimes are available online at Rs. 799 + GST and Rs. 1,000 + GST at the venue. For details visit
