Inauguration of Bio-gas Plant

Mysuru: The Kitchen Waste Bio-gas Plant of 50kg/day capacity at NIE-Boys’ Hostel will be inaugurated by MUDA Chairman D. Dhruvakumar and  MLA M.K. Somashekar tomorrow (Feb.15) at 4 pm. Vice-President of NIE N. Ramanuja will preside.

A programme will be held at NIE-Diamond Jubilee Complex as part of green initiative by NIE-CREST (Centre for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technologies).

The bio-gas plant converts six tons of kitchen waste per year to bio-gas and the bio-gas plant serves the purpose of waste management at NIE-Boys’ Hostel.  

The bio-gas generated is being supplied to the kitchen of the boys’ hostel.
