Mysuru: Inchara Samskruthika Prathishtana had organised a function at The Institution of Engineers on JLB Road here recently to mark the 6th anniversary of the Prathishtana and commemorate the 89th birth anniversary of Thespian Dr. Raj Kumar.

Inaugurating the programme,  poetess Dr. Latha Rajashekar recalled that despite lucrative offers from cinemas of other languages, Dr. Rajkumar acted only in Kannada movies and added that Rajkumar would always remain in the hearts of the people.

Theatre Artiste C.V. Sridhara Murthy delivered a lecture on late Dr. Rajkumar.

Former District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Maddikere Gopal was the Chief Guest.

Adarsha Seva Sangha President G.R. Nagaraj released a special volume on Dr. Rajkumar.

Dr. Raj Sadhana awards were presented to Dr. Y.D. Rajanna (Literature), Dr. S.A. Mohan Krishna (Technology), Indu Shekar (Tabla), A.S. Prasanna Kumar (Music direction) and Nagaraj (Theatre).
