Mysuru lads C. Vasisht and S.D. Prajwal Dev entered the main draw in the men’s singles event in India 3 ITF $15,000 Futures Tennis Tournament at Guwahati yesterday. In final qualifying round,  Vasisht beat fourth seed P. Vignesh 7-5, 6-2 to enter the main draw of the tournament. In the first round of qualifying, Vasisht got the better of Mysuru lad and 13th seed Suraj R. Prabodh 7-6 (3), 6-4. Another upcoming Mysuru lad Prajwal Dev beat Anurag Nenwani 7-6 (1), 6-1 in final qualifying round and entered main draw. In first round of qualifying, Prajwal beat Dhakshineshwar Prabbhu 3-6, 6-0, 6-3.

In the main draw of the men’s singles event, Vasisht will take on Sami Reinwein (Germany) while Prajwal will meet Britain’s Alexis Courter in the first round. In the men’s doubles event Vasisht and Prajwal will meet second seeds N. Vijay Sundar Prasanth and Sanam Singh in the pre-quarterfinals.
