Mysuru: First time in the history of Mysore Dasara, an Urdu Mushaira has been included by Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep, who is also the Dasara Special Officer.
The Mushaira will be held tonight at Golden Palace Convention Centre, opposite Siddiqia Arabic College, Mysuru-Bengaluru Road, Bannimantop.
District In-charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa will inaugurate the Dasara Mushaira at 9 pm. Minister for Primary and Secondary Education, Aukaf and Minorties Affairs Tanveer Sait will preside the stage programme. Minister for Urban Development and Haj R. Roshan Baig will be the chief guest. MLAs Vasu and M.K.Somashekar and Mayor M.J. Ravikumar will be the special invitees.
Urdu Poet Gowhar Tarikervi of Mysuru will chair the Mushaira while Poet Shafeeq Abidi will compere. Yash Bharthi Awardee and Celebrity Imran Pratabgari will be the main attraction at tonight’s Mushiara.
The other Poets are: Shadab Bedhadak, Telengana; Dr. Moin Amar Bamboo, Hyderabad; Siraj Sholapuri, Maharashtra; Waheed Pasha Khadri, Hyderabad; Dr. Farzana Farah, Bhatkal; Akram Naqash, Kalaburagi; Dr. Zaheer Ahmed Rahi Fidayee, Bengaluru; Nazeer Nustrath Hangama, Bengaluru; Suhail Nizami, Bengaluru; Dr. Sunil Tarun, Bengaluru; Mubeen Munawar, Bengaluru; N. Mohamed Ghouse Khateeb Nagmangali, Mandya; Hasan Ali Khan Hasan, Channapatna; Anwar Khan Anwar, Mysuru; Syed Ahmed Rahil, Azeez Ahmed Khan Arshi, Addul Hakeem Hakeem Sayeed, Syed Usman Asar Sayeed, Dr. Irfan Ahmed Irfan and Ayeesha Chand will recite their poems.
