Indira canteens in Mysuru from New Year

Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep has said that Indira Canteens, the Government’s ambitious scheme to provide subsidised food, will start functioning in city from Jan.1, 2018.

A total of 11 canteens will come up in the city and one each at taluk headquarters of six other taluks in the district — Hunsur, K.R. Nagar, H.D. Kote, Nanjangud, Periyapatna and T. Narasipur — for which the locations have almost been finalised, he said.

The process of getting NOCs from Local Bodies and other concerned Departments is on, he added.
