Indira Lankesh (82), wife of late Journalist and writer P. Lankesh, passed away in Bengaluru this morning due to age-related illness.

She was a writer and entrepreneur in her own right, authoring the autobiographical book ‘Hulimavu Mattu Naanu.’

She is survived by daughter film Director Kavitha Lankesh and son Actor-Director Indrajit Lankesh.

Her husband P. Lankesh, the Founder-Editor of Kannada political weekly ‘Lankesh Patrike’ and elder daughter Journalist Gauri Lankesh had predeceased her.
