Inspiring performance by raider Amarjeeth Singh, combined with good team effort from the Pune Pride players enabled them to register a facile 49-26 win over Mumbai Che Raje in the league match of the Indo International Premier League Kabaddi match played at the Chamundi Vihar Indoor Stadium here last night.

In the day’s last game, Pune Pride due to some excellent raiding by Amarjeeth Singh who was chosen as the Player of the Match, scored 10 points from nine raids. He was well-supported by Sheikh Abdul who scored 8 points followed by Jithender Yadav with 7 points. Sheik Abdul was chosen as the Best Raider, while Jaskirat Singh was chosen as the Best Defender. At half time, the winner lead 28-11.

For Mumbai, Mahesh Magdum scored 8 points, followed by Karmbir with 5 points.

Pune Pride leads Zone-A with 14 points (9 played, 7 win, 2 lost), while Mumbai Che Raje with 8 points are placed second in Zone-B.

Bangalore beat Delhi

In an absorbing and keenly contested tie, Bangalore Rhinios, cheered by the local crowd, scored an 48-45 win over Diler Delhi. Vishal impressed for Bangalore Rhinos with his excellent raiding and scored 5 points.

Vishal was chosen as the Player of the Match. Naveen was chosen as the Raider of the Match. Vipin Malik scored 2 points for Bangalore Rhinos. At half time, the winner led 29-18.

Naveen excelled for Diler Delhi with 4 points and Sunil Jaipal chipped in with 3 points.

Bangalore Rhinos have secured 9 points (4 win, 3 loss, 1 draw) and are placed second in Zone-A’, while Diler Delhi are placed first in Zone ‘B’ with 13 points (6 win, 1 lost, 1 draw).

Haryana Heroes beat Telugu Bulls

Haryana Heroes scored a well-earned 43-35 win over Telugu Bulls in the day’s first match. Vikas Khati and Ramdayal played well for the winner, while Nageshwar Singh and Harwinder Singh impressed for the loser. At half time, the winner led 19-14.

Haryana Heroes have secured 5 points and are placed fourth in the Zone-A, while Telugu Bulls have secured 2 points and are placed fourth in Zone-B.
