Indonesia F3 Futures tennis: City’s Prajwal Dev-Mohit duo goes down in semi-finals

Mysuru lad S.D. Prajwal Dev, teaming up with Mohit Mayur, lost in the semi-finals in the Men’s Doubles event in the $ 25,000 Indonesia F3 Futures Men’s Tennis Tournament held at Indonesia from Aug.6 to 12. In the semi-finals, top-seeds and ultimate winners Justin Barki (Ina) and Christopher Rungkut beat S.D. Prajwal Dev and Mohit Mayur 6-2, 6-1 and sailed into the title round.

In the quarter-finals, Prajwal and Mohit beat Congsup Congcar and Connor Faren 6-4, 7-5. In the pre-quarterfinals, Mohit and Prajwal combined well to beat Charles Roberts and Armondo C Soemarno (Ina) 4-6, 6-3, 10-5.

In the Men’s Singles, Prajwal Dev lost in final qualifying round to Alexander Babanie (Aus) 6-3, 6-3. In the second round, Prajwal Dev beat Mohit Bharadwaj 6-3, 6-1 and in the first round had scored a good win over Ezequiel Cerrini (USA) 6-2, 6-0.
