Infosys Chief announces Rs.10,000 for women wrestling winners

Infosys Foundation Chief Dr. Sudha Murty announced to provide Rs.10,000 cash incentive for first three winners of this year Dasara Wrestling Tournament.

Speaking after inaugurating Dasara State-level Wrestling Tournament for women held at D. Devaraj Urs Multi-Purpose Stadium in Dasara Exhibition Grounds here on Saturday, she said women wrestlers need financial support for promotion of their sports activities.

She sought the organisers of the event to send the details of first three winners name and their address to her office for distribution of incentive. She also promised to continue all possible financial help for women wrestlers. Later, she viewed the competition for half-an-hour to encourage the contestants.
