Injured pillion rider succumbs at hospital

Mysore/Mysuru: A pillion rider, who had sustained severe head injuries in a road mishap on Ring Road in city recently, has succumbed to injuries at a private hospital here on Friday night.

According to Police, Mallikarjuna (54), a native of Vijayapura, who was working in a private engineering workshop at Hebbal, was injured seriously, when a two-wheeler in which he was riding pillion on the Ring Road, was hit by a speeding car around 8 am on Jan 31. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital, where he breathed his last on Friday night. However,   bike rider Nagaraj has escaped with minor injuries. 

V.V. Puram Police, who have registered a case, are  investigating.
