Install humps instead of barricades at Mahaamane Junction

August 1, 2017

Sir,

Following many complaints and after a careful study by the Traffic Police, speed control barricades were placed at Mahaamane junction on Dattagalli Ring Road to avoid accidents.

This junction connects to various sides apart from pedestrian crossing.  But these barricades do not deter speeding vehicles rushing from Aditya Circle and thereby the main purpose of installing barricades is defeated as the road itself is sloping.

However, road humps constructed on either side of the Double Road at Netaji Circle are worth planning and appreciated.  The authorities concerned are requested to construct humps on both sides of Mahaamane junction instead of the barricades for safe usage of the cross point.
