Install humps on newly asphalted roads

April 27, 2023

Sir,

It has been a welcome move by Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) to asphalt the roads across Mysuru. However, it must be taken into consideration to install road humps at all major junctions and intersections leading to cross-roads.

Especially, the Adichunchanagiri Road from Apollo BGS Hospitals to the junction near Agarwal Eye Hospital has been in dire need of road humps. Sree Cauvery College junction, Ganabharathi junction and HOPCOMS junction have crossroads, entering the main road from both the sides. It is very difficult to enter main roads at these junctions.

Further, a patch of road in front of the Agarwal Eye Hospital has been left without asphalt. The uneven surface with scattered stones, a manhole and the divider makes vehicular movement even more difficult.

I request the authorities concerned to look into the issue and initiate action soon.
