1,366 children, 392 pregnant women administered vaccine from Dec.2 to 4 in Mysuru

Mysuru: Preventive vaccines have been administered to 1,366 children below two years and 392 pregnant women in the district in three days under the week-long Intensified Mission Indradhanush 2.0 programme, an immunisation drive, which was launched on Dec.2 in the district.

The drive will be held in four stages — from Dec.3, Jan. 6, 2020, Feb.3 and Mar.2.

A total of 283 high risk areas in the district where 1,715 children and 474 pregnant women remained untouched by the immunisation programme, were identified out of which 1,366 children and 392 pregnant women have been administered vaccines since Dec.2. The drive will go on till Dec.10.

Out of 358 centres that have been opened in the district to administer vaccine, vaccines were administered at 291 Centres except on Dec.5 (Thursday). Vaccine will also be administered at all the centres and Government Hospitals every Thursday.
