Sri Viveka Balodyana Public School, Jayanagar, Mysuru, will be conducting ‘Balodyana Pratibhaanveshana’ inter-school contests for children at its premises on Dec.10.

The competitions will be held under three categories — Group A ( Nursery to Class 2), Group B (Class 3 to 7) and Group C (Class 8 to 10).

The contest for Group A category children is ‘Dress to impress’, a fancy dress contest (for Pre-KG and UKG) with the theme ‘Pouranic’ (Mythological characters) costumes and Religious characters and ‘Let your colours shine’, a painting competition (for children of Class 1 and 2) with the theme ‘Colour the given picture.’

The contest for Group B category is ‘Paint your passion’, a painting contest for Class 3 and 4 students with the theme ‘Your favourite cartoon character/ festival and Poster making competition for children of Class 5 to 7, on the topic ‘Seasons of India.’

The contest for Group C category is ‘Battle of Minds’ , a debate in Kannada (Topic: Is skill education necessary in school curriculum in the current times) and English (Topic: Do you prefer cultural tourism or tourism with entertainment) for students of Class 8 to 10.

There is also ‘Feet on Fire’ group dance event with the theme ‘Navarasa.’

Last date for registration is Dec.8 and there is no registration fee. There will be three prizes in each category — First prize (Rs.1,500), second (Rs.1,000) and third (Rs.750).

Rolling shield will be awarded to the school which bags the maximum number of prizes.
