International AIDS Society Symposium held in Mumbai

International AIDS Society (IAS) Educational Fund Symposium was held in collaboration with the Family Planning Association of India (FPA India) and the AIDS Society of India (ASI) on Dec.4 in Mumbai. Leading HIV researchers and policy-makers presented their ideas on how to effectively incorporate new strategies to address ARVs (antiretrovirals) and challenges to treatment access through innovative treatment and prevention approaches, including in the context of chemsex and HIV and co-infections in Asia. In addition, speakers and participants defined ways to integrate HIV into national global health systems in India with discussions on differentiated service delivery. Dr. V.H.T. Swamy, CMO, Asha Kirana Hospital, Mysuru, too participated in this event representing the voice of HIV infected population in the International Symposium.
