Sasvatam organisation of London, United Kingdom (UK), will be conferring ‘International Sasvatam Extraordinary Lifetime Service Achievement Award’ on Karnataka Kalashree Dr. K. Kumar of Kumar Performing Arts Centre (KPAC), Mysuru, in recognition of his over four decades of profound and selfless service to the  field of Bharatanatyam.

The award will be presented at Sasvatam’s Worldwide Classical Dance Festival to be held on Jan. 17 at Prabodhan Thackeray Natyamandir, Borivali, Mumbai.

During the occasion, Dr. Kumar will present a duet Bharatanatyam performance with his daughter, Nritya Visharadhe K.M. Nidhi.
