Mysuru: Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDM-IMD), Mysuru, is hosting a two-day ‘International Conference on Economic Growth and Sustainable Development’ at the Institute premises, foot of Chamundi Hill, on Nov. 21 and 22.
The inaugural session tomorrow at 9.45 am will be attended by Ramana Kumar CSV, Vice-President at Wipro Ltd. A renowned macroeconomic analyst with over three decades of experience in the industry, Kumar will provide valuable insights into the evolving economic landscape.
The conference will feature a special address by Prof. Trilochan Sastry, Professor, Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bengaluru. Prof. Sastry, an authority in the areas of governance and social impact, will deliver a keynote lecture.
On Nov. 22, a panel discussion titled ‘Being Responsible and Sustainable in the New Age: Challenges and Opportunities’ will be held. Experts like Suguru Kawashima, CFO, Findy, Japan; Dr. AKM Shahidullah, Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada; Dr. G.S. Ganesh Prasad, ANSSIRD, GoK and Dr. Sunil Kapadia, BFSI Consultant from Pune, will attend. Dr. (Lt. Col.) S.N. Prasad, Director, SDM-IMD, will moderate the session.
More than 150 delegates from various sectors and countries are expected to attend, presenting their research papers, according to Dr. B Venkatraja, Conference Chairperson. The Conference will conclude with a valedictory address on Nov. 22 at 3.45 pm by Dr. Balu Kenchappa, Chief General Manager and Ombudsman, Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
