Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Botany (UG & PG) in association with IQAC, Teresian College for Women, Mysuru, is organising an International Conference on “Intellectual Property Management in the Era of Scientific Advancements” tomorrow (Mar. 17) at 9.30 am at its Ave Maria Golden Jubilee Auditorium in Siddarthanagar.
The Conference will be inaugurated by keynote speaker Dr. Giridhar Parvatam, Director, CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru.
Rev. Dr. Sr. Rohini, Principal, Dr. C. Jeyanthi, Dean of Science and Vivek Charls, IQAC Co-ordinator will be present.
The Conference will also include technical sessions by eminent resource persons such as Dr. M.V. Sunil, Assistant Professor, SDM-IMD, Mysuru; Sunethra Sudhakar Derebaii, Team Manager for Life Sciences, S&H Partners, Bengaluru and Dr. Jyothis Devasia, Post-Doctoral Fellow, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. The sessions will cover patent law, copyright management, data privacy and ethics in artificial intelligence, technology transfer and strategies for safeguarding innovations in scientific research.
The Conference aims to promote awareness about the crucial role of Intellectual Property (IP) management in protecting scientific innovations and fostering technological progress.
It will bring together graduate and postgraduate students, research scholars, academicians to discuss the role of intellectual property in today’s rapidly evolving scientific land scape.
