Mysore/Mysuru: To commemorate “International Day of Persons With Disabilities (IDPWD)”, the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysuru, has lined up various programmes including an Awareness Week.
The awareness programme includes orientation about “IDPWD” awareness week for general public at waiting area.
On Dec.3, disability-related quiz will be conducted to clients, and care-givers seeking clinical services and prizes will be distributed.
On the same day, webinar on “Communication Disorders and Government Welfare Measures” for care-givers availing clinical services will be held.
On Dec. 4, webinar on “Speech and Hearing Disorders” and services and facilities available in the institute for persons with “Communication Disorders” will be held for Rotary members.
The success stories of persons with disabilities will be displayed at the Department of Clinical Services. Digital banner will be displayed regarding commemoration of IDPWD .
To commemorate IDPWD Day, the institute will be conducting free testing at its premise on Dec.3. The clients are exempted from registration charges from Dec.3 to Dec.9. Also ‘AIISH Helpline’ will be available to answer queries related to services provided by AIISH and queries related to speech, language and hearing disorders between 10 am to 12 noon and 2 pm to 4 pm on all working days.
